Yangtze occurs from the well-known dynasty Tibetan mastiffs – one of the most rare and furious breeds in China and all over the world. In the homeland, in mountain Tibet, these huge dogs bear caretaking service, including protecting Buddhist monasteries.
Among well-founded Chineses this breed is considered a prestige symbol. In Great Britain the puppy Tibetan mastiff from a usual dynasty costs about 2 thousand dollars.
Cynologists consider mastiffs as one of five basic types of dogs, along with shepherds, fleet, pointers and lupoides. In spite of the fact that the most ancient dog bones are found on a place of settlements by age of 32-19 thousand years, the basic types appear not earlier than a bronze age, five millenia ago. At domestication at an animal the skeleton varies, in particular, the muzzle is shortened and becomes thicker, the tail is brief.
